Oh well there we go! Its a breeze then! No idea what I was worried about
Still around 6hours on the bike for me is just way too ouch to think about!
thank you Ratbag
I've just had a long conversation with Mr kk - he thinks I can do it....
I've got to learn to swim properly though...
Garr...the only reason I signed up again is that I'm going senile and I've forgotten what it was like....
...and when you've been in the saddle for 6-7hrs...just getting your @rse out of the saddle is a real pleasure....so a marathon isn't a problem...honest...
Rio,
3 x runs, 3 x bike and 3 x swims should get you there...you can swim on the same day as a run or a bike...easy....
Mmmm ok time to have a good hard look at my training.
I know I can do it though. Just deciding which one to go for I think. Will need onewith very generous cut off times
Nice isnt easy, but its as hard as you make it, it will be a challenging course but I think the benefit of all the pirates being there willl make it as easy race as any.
I dont subscribe to the theory of 'lets find an easy race' Theyre all tough, if you train hard you'll finish.
I do think the cut-offs for all the Ironman races are pretty generous.
If you say so BB. And I know all the support is a big help. And I guess with all the training it is doable. I remember thinking I would never be able to do a marathon.....
So I guess it is as much a state of mind as a state of body! Ok serious training here I come (once this bl**dy ankle gets better)
hear hear, barlos
anybody who goes around looking for easy races should do so in tritalk kit!
I did a 3-hour spin-a-thon at the gym once during which we covered 100k, but I guess its not quite the same? I’m not sure I’d be able to walk after 120 miles, never mind run??
you can pick an 'easy' race and still have a shit day
