Any ideas for good off season bike workouts on a trainer? I really need to get faster on my bike!

What's a mag? Is it another kind of flatfish?

Thanks for the link WW.

Apparently it is magnetic somewhere. I haven't got it out of the box yet 'cos my bike has a nasty puncture which I haven't fixed yet.

I wouldn't try to recreate outside bike rides on your Turbo MP.

Do some base training (Level 2 heartrate if you use the 4 level system) for 30 to 40 minutes at a time to begin with, and then try intervals.

Pete Reads Blue Book (if you get Cycling Weekly they advertise it at the back) is very good reading.

Try amazon they have a few books with turbo sessions in them. The important thing with turbos is to have a plan when you start or you get bored. Even if the plan is 'easy cycle for 20 mins' you should keep it in mind. They are an excellent training tool and their greatest strength is that they are an efficient use of time. But have a plan. After reading a few session plans you will get the idea and be able to make them up yourself. As long as you know what you want to achieve and the best training to achieve it the rest is just a case of making up a session. Easy!
