And I'll add to that, the Forum 6 has always been a completely objective selection as far as anyone can make it such. Basically someone (Meldy in reality) decides the 6 mentors but that has to be agreed by a small panal. Quite deliberately, the 'chooser' (who decides the mentees) isn't someone in any particular factions or friendship group. So Meldy tends to suggest the mentors, I put forward a suggestion for the 'chooser'. And I'll suggest some antisocial bastard(ess) who will pick interesting and challenging people.

It's not foolproof, but my suggestion is that if you want to do it for tri, don't limit to the Pirate 'shag yourself' gene pool. It's not about who you want to get in with online superficially, it's about tapping a huge resource here that can facilitate triathlon.

I think we can make it whatever we want as a group to make it

Yes. That's what I thought. Whether or not that means we should shag ourselves remains to be seen

I'm off to look at the piccies of my mentee.......to see if they are shaggable......i suspect one is......the other is probably not my type.

I'm wondering the same about mine Seren.  I believe we might have to share him

As my 2nd Mentee is just about to cross the finish line at IMUK, can I just say how much pleasure mentoring 2 people to iron distance finishes this year has given me.

I now have a husband / wife team and a dnf at Outlaw this year to work with and I am very excited about what we can achieve together.

if anyone is unsure about being a mentor it is highly recommended

I'm going to give this one a bounce as I'm all keen at the moment having finished my first IM and am deciding which (how many) to do next year, and to prepare Jaffa for all my stupid bike questions I need to get answered.

To be fair my questions are generally, what are these gears on the left hand side for and why is it so scary going downhill so he should cope.
