I've had the bike for about 5 years - but like the frame (Scott with rockshotts) - so rebuilding rather than buting a new one

Chopwell wood only ocationally - Hamstley Forest is good and I like heading up onto Stanhope moors as well as Keilder

ah yes done a fair bit in hamsterly a couple of times, that black route had some fun bits.... (like that stream crossing I recall)...

Hamsterley Forest - excellent - only done it once in February with snow on ground. Have friends in Durham who took us there.

twinkles - mushrooms?? where?? my favourite autumn pastime is collecting those

should be a poor season for the fungus though twinkles as summer's been too dry - am going to have a scout about this weekend to see if anything is sticking it's fruiting body up. we need lots more rain. I need to get my dried stocks of ceps and trompettes du mort replenished.
