310 or what?

I was happy enough with the 310xt and this is a lot smaller. I never had any issue while training. As with any watch, it can be tricky to get a wetsuit off quickly.

I like the idea of being able to change intervals whilst running.

I might actually have to sit and read the instruction book

I've been looking at upgrading from my 405, do either the 910 or 310 have the battery power to last a IM race? The spec for the 310 claims 20 hours but is this achievable i reality?

Took me about 16:45 to do Outlaw this year with 910 running with GPS on from start to finish. Wore HRM throughout and have a speed/cadence sensor on the bike,  Had run/walk intervals set for run.  Don't remember how long before the start I turned it on but I'd guess about 10-15mins.

I would love the 910XT, but I think I would make m 310XT and poolmate redundant

You could eBay them and pay *most* of the 910

i could but in reality I would be buying the 910 just for the sake of it.  I have two perfectly good gadgets that are doing the same as the 910.  Also I am not swim training in 2013 and the swimovate was a Christmas gift last year.

I have to learn that what I want and what I need are sometimes two seperate things

Trogs. - thanks for the reply, now I want it more than before but not sure I can justify the extra compared to the 310. I'm going to get the cadence for my bike and already have hrm so will wait until the spring before I decide what to replace my 405 with.
