nice and dry

What I really could do with, for cycling, is some kind of goretex arse protector. Whole overtrousers are expensive and rear mudguards DEEPLY uncool, so why has no one invented some kind of butt-cover? I have waterproof socks and as long as feet and arse is dry I don't care.

It's my idea by the way, and I have therefore established intellectual property rights!

Whale Tail - clips onto the seatpost and meant to keep the worst off.

But after having ridden without guards for ooooh - 20 years - discovered that its brilliant to ride with them ! And the bike looks pretty cool with them anyway. Go for it !

MMmmm !!!

Pro road riders ride winter bikes in the winter. Remember they are out all weathers and will deffo have a winter bike with guards on. But no, they don't race with them on.

S'ok... I ain't a 'pro' no mud guards for me!!

I think this is where the mountain biking becomes preferential as the mud tends to add a bit more 'insulation' to the whole wet soggy mess
