Flaps and T!ts - a rerun

they overlap for about 500m, not such a big deal however, knowing how the sport rides go, the potential for multiple riders to be going up that short climb 6-7 abreast while the Nantwich guys are flying down the hill is high and could cause issues. Just take care.

*pokes head in*

Don't mean to barge in, but I did the Manchester 100 2yrs ago and, if I remember rightly, at that point Nantwich was the enforced lunch stop - it was pretty congested on the roads to and from the school.

ooooh you bike toooo......

Erm, I did the 100 on a beaten-up mountain bike - providing much entertainment for the mamils. Best comment of the day (and there were many); "That's like riding the Grand National on an aged donkey"

that second link makes things a lot different, glad I will be finished before any mamils come thru

Slightly concerned now. As a fairly green cyclist, should I be worried?

The reason Farnie has found two routes is because the first link is for the Manchester 100 kilometers and the second is the 100 miles. (The 100k cuts out Nantwich.)

Surely the organisers are aware of each other? Or am I just being naive?

It looks like the Manchester race route tags onto the tri route just after the hospital and then they run together down most of the untdulating bit, out in the sticks. Looks like it crosses the odd roundabout too. Fortunately, they are heading in the opposite direction.

Before he gets overexcited I am of course talking about my tyre pressures and chain.

Well, Pandorica's been in for a service, has been suitably adorned with subtle Pirate branding, and I am ever so slightly crocked. Makes for a good start Looking forwards to the fun tomorrow. Don't forget the sunscreen - if it's like today, we're going to need it.

Following Alistair Brownlee's training advice, and eating more cakes and pies before tomorrow.

Poor Caz drove all that way to be camping on her lonesome.  We've had her here at the flat for a bit and Calfie went to help her put the tent up a moment ago. We offere for her to stay with us for the night, but there are other people camping nearby and she was happy to sleep ou.

Someone find her in the morning please.  Little tent near the blue Beamer.

Good luck everyone for today.

What with swimming lessons and me resembling the QE2 at the mo, we wont be able to make it down, but make sure you race well and make lots of noise near the hozzie for Loon!
