 Well I suppose I do off road events of those sorts of lengths, so I might just be persuaded, as long as I don't trash my legs for the next day!!

Look, this is going to sound awfully silly, but what is this ride please? Seen it year on year but is it road/MTB/canal towpath/Alpine ascent up ice face and roughly what distance pretty please?

Lots of luvly people going.

Only been on one Ridgeway hunt. It was mostly off road, on grass/chalk/mud tracks. The day I went there were no killer hills that I remember - or maybe one which was only tricky cos I'm even crapper on a MTB than I am on a road bike.

As for distance, I suspect it may depend on weather conditions and light

Where abouts is it?

I'll bring my Deal Extreme light (which apparently works "even in blasting rain")

The Ridgeway 

Meet here at 11am on Saturday 13th October - free parking on a Sunday (HP22 6DU)

We will aim to go up into the woods, nothing heavy and anything that is a bit sharp is also quite short

We will aim to end up here so bring some pennies for tea/coffee/cake

There is a mountain bike trail and I happen to know a few of the lanes so it will be a mixture of hard trail and lanes, no real off road muddy stuff

I need to add a disclaimer that I have currently put my back out of circulation but hope to be mobile by Saturday

Barlos is a yes for this,Cas and Smiffy are a possible dependant on turf laying I think ... Is Dusty making an appearance?

Wifes birthday Monday, she wants to go to IKEA on Saturday for her birthday. I asked her what she wants for her birthday, she said, "Oh I'll just get something in IKEA". Should I be scared?
