The camping is right by the start, you couldn't stay any closer without hiring a boat for the lake. I realised 10 minutes before the start I'd left my timing chip in the tent and was able to run over and get it, panic a bit more, then get in the water with lots of time.
The camp site is nice enough, lots of space though it did go from pretty empty on Friday night quite full by Sat night, still lots of places to camp though, no worries about not finding a space. (Plus there will probably be a Pirate area bagsied
)
The facilities are ok, but basic. Cost was cheap, think £7ish per night per person per tent. No need to book, just turn up.
You can get cooked food from the cafe/restaurant next to the lake and I think the camp site had a small shop where you check in.
