If you want something cheap with a HRM this could be ok
Cheap as chips I had very simular a few years ago and it worked fine
stupid question ...
cut offs ....is the swim cut off 2hrs 15 to get into or out off T1 and 10.5hrs to get into or out off T2?

now if I get my "welcome to teaching" payout (who knows it doesn't exist now) then it could be the 910 *dribbles* not worth getting an edge. will a cateye do just for distance time or is the old HRM element essential? I have a normal (well timex ironman!) watch so will have the overall time OK

I train using HRs but I don't really use my HR monitor on the bike, I prefer to go by percieved effort.
BBT I'm thinking that will be the way forward, TBH when I tire my posture goes and then my HR strap can rub so I may go without that throughout
oh well in that case ....
Cool that it's sold out.
Campsite say they aren't taking bookings until January 2013.

What, the campsite? That's crazy...
Looks like 100 of the Outlaw places are for Cancer Research so if anyone wants to commit to £2000 fundraising (or however much it is) they might be able to get in. That's about what an IronMan (TM) costs innit?!?
A little late in adding myself to the list...roll on the 30 week count down so training can start in earnest

Not that I'm stressing already! No, not me
great for outlaw, now where am I gonna do a fast IM....??
I'm on the reserve list for a relay team.....fingers crossed!
Just mappped out Fink, start date is December 12th folks!
so basically we have 10.5wks of pre-base "fun" training before the hard work starts
I'm trying to get basic fitness up for now by doing morning runs before work will aim to start including some morning turbo sessions (instead of a run) and weekend long ride oh and when I find my gym pass a swim or two mid week.
I'm following the just survive plan and as a teacher working silly hours (as per contract!) I'm already thinking ahead to the "essential" sessions when the training piles up!
