I've kept the 2012 show on sky+ for inspiration. Did they say much about this "half interesting news" yesterday?

That would make sense and would be so good to get a "feel" for the course.

I've just finished reading "becoming and Ironman" which is a collection of short recollections by folk who have finished (or in some cases not finished) an IM and TBH I'm getting very scared! Especially of the bike! So a reccie would be nice

What ever it is, Ian Hamilton is keeping it quite. A friend who is normally in the know hasn't been told either. Should be interesting!

2.4miles on the bike for me. It is raining stair rods anf freezing Need to man up a bit and add a few warmer and waterproof clothes to my wardrobe. Now going shopping I seriously hope its not raining on July 7th next year.

Watched TV coverage yesterday with my OH. Now he's "proper" worried

SS - it rained last year on July 1st. For some like me, it was on the bike, and made the last 20 or so miles a nightmare. Others complained of a wet run, though the sun was shining later on.

Twas a might chilly yesterday morning with a base layer, summer jersey and arm warmers. It did warm up a bit later on, but lesson learnt for next weekend. Get a good warm jacket and mudguards. That way at least your behind remains warm and dry.

Is this true that there's a half on the 2nd June?
