I know they are now using an outside company to deal with the entries but why are they not doing a reserve list this year? That seemed to work in everyones favour for the last few years, seems odd to drop it.

they have sold 1450 placces instead of the 1000..so they get all the money in early and get to still have the maximum on the day without all the uncertainty  and agro of a reserve list

Mouse me Dawn and Bookie have entered a team so should be scaring people on the bike again. Cheers for the warning chuckles.

There was talk at the weekend of Mrs Digger other half Mr Digger sorting out a team anyone know if he's pulled it off?

Cool beans.  Something made me think you were after doing it as a solo.  Glad you're in.

2015 maybe done this course to many times and want to play somewhere else next year. Got unfineshed business with the course but probably doing the eirman race darkness did last month, Nice doesn't fit with dates and price put me off a little for logistic's.

Dawn Shadow's a friend and asked about a relay so will be a pleasure.

What is the best way staying in a  nearby hotel or camping as its a long way to drive and straight race any suggestions

There is a campsite at HPP, you walk over the road and fall in the water to start

Outlaw training and family/job works really well doesnt it ha ha.....All the council run pools are full of kids and close at 8pm meaning no swimming for me, start work at 8am so cant get in in a morning either.....

Problem now solved, joined my local swimming club so my training plan is

3 x 5am swimming sessions a week (Mon/Wed/Fri)

5am midweek run (7 miles Tues) and a long weekend run (14 miles if no marathon/ultra to run)

2 x 30 miles rides (Monday and Friday evenings) and a long ride on a weekend.

Hoping this will be enough cause reckon I could be in for a divorce otherwise.

5 am swimming club...are they for real

Up at 5am, in pool for 5.30am. Got a top swimmer at my school and she has been training like this before school for years and then after school too.....

If you said I would be doing the same a few months back I would think you were mental, now I am buzzing that I can train while my mrs and kids are sleeping so I dont get any grief ha ha

I think it is quite normal for swimming clubs to train at these hours as those competing at a high level train a lot of hours each day

I appreciate a lot of top swimmer swim early before pool open to the public.....glad to see you have a pool where you can join the group..that should ensure a really good time for you......

I have got round the problem of inconvenient public swim sessions by joining a swimming club with a few masters swim a week - so I get 3 quality swims with them and I know I am pushing myself properly when I swim and I can't shirk part of the workout just because I can't be bothered.
