9.2 A wetsuit may consist of up to three separate parts.

What were they thinking about with that?  I can imagine a wetsuit with separate top & lower halves, but the third?  A nice waistcoat perhaps?

Or are they treating neoprene skullcaps as part of the wetsuit?

it says "up to" which obviously covers a full suit and no hat (1), or a full suit and a hat/2 piece suit and no hat (2), or a 2 piece suit and a hat (3)

I've seen a few 2 piece suits around but they're not very common.

While the rule book is out, am I ok about wearing just Tri Shorts under my wettie on Sunday? Just started getting worried about the 'nudity' intrepretations when I start taking the wettie off (tri-shorts are staying on!)

Or do I need to wear a top of some description for the swim?

Blast. Was hoping to leave the tri-top in the bag for the run, and wear a cycle top for the bike. Ah well, will pack a top for the swim.

* adds to ever growing list *

Cheers KK.

Have you not got a rash vest to shove on for the swim? I would offer you mine but it's bright pink ladies xs.

Might not be to your taste.

There is a changing tent, I haven't experienced it myself, but comparrisons with gay porn have been made in the past to describe it!!

I believe wetsuits have to be removed before you go into the tent!

you'll be fine without a top on when you strip the wettie off.

nudity tends to only refer to complete nudity

but best check at the race briefing to be doubly sure

At IMCDA they seemed to have some men heading out onto the run topless.

Maybe they had their tops in their hands - but they went out of transition bare chested anyway.

I think it was Welsh Alex who got in trouble for being naked in transition, which sounds like the sequel to Sleepless in Seattle.

Sorry, not completely naked. I would have remembered that.

Does anybody have a Topeak valve extender I can borrow? The one for the non-removable cores

I'll pack a top and ask at the briefing for some clarification. Had assumed I'd be alright without so haven't training with a top underneath. Worst case I could wear my tri suit and then get completely changed in T1 if necessary.
