Well done everyone,I had a great weekend supporting and marshaling.
We were brilliant Well so the organisers and loads of compeditors told me
It was loverly to meet more Pirates and it was great to see everyone safely home at the finish
But I won't be doing the feed station next year.
I'll be doing the event itself instead
Just popping in quickly so say what I great 'brief spell on the feed station' I had yesterday. Not being on the forum much (in fact at all really) any more I hadn't realised a station was being organised, it was only when I made my mind up to come and support a friend that I checked on here.
So sorry if I was late, was not official, only helped a little and then p*ssed off to support my friend. Hope I managed to help a little.
From what I could see it was very well organised..... and apart from one miserable *&$* you clearly couldn't grap a gel I didn't hear any complaints. Driving back to the start/finish I checked out the other stations and the pirate one certainly looked the best.
I'd love to help again next year but I've heard that it's on the 1st July, in which case I'll be in Austria. But if that's wrong and it's any other date I'll be there.
Great to see so many Pirates yesterday. Didn't always remember the names, but that didn't seem to matter.
ps - Barley - grumpy? Nah
Hi all...can i just say well done to all the Pirates that competed yesterday you all looked very good during the whole event..and you all did great
And also a big thankyou for such a fun day at the Pirate feed station...i had a great time..and think we all did a fantastic job for everyone that was racing. Also enjoyed the marshalling with Tommygun and a special thanks to the man from one of the houses who came out and offered and then made us a cup of tea..very much appreciated
It was good meet up with those pirates that i have met before and also nice to meet new ones ...hope to catch up with some of you again very soon.
Would love to help again next year but can't coz i "will" be a participant
