OK

So after lots of pressure and requests about are we doing it again and dates for next year and requests to get the dates as early as possible, we now have dates

We will be running the Pirate DIY half IM again on both the 2nd and 3rd of May

The Monday 4th May is Bank holiday

The date has been chosen

1 week after VLM

1 week before IM Mallorca 70.3 (last chance to swim)

3 weeks before IM Lanza (perfect start to tapir)

4 weeks before Outlaw Half (Great chance to test out kit and nutrition)

8 weeks before IM Austria (Perfect timing)

11 weeks before IMUK (great to check how your training is going)

12 weeks before Outlaw (great to check how your training is going)

This time we are hoping to have lap counters for the swim and a master timer so we can provide split times

We will also be doing t-shirts again for those that want

and all this for £4 (the swimming pool entry cost)

As usual there should be a good social side so the pub should feature on Friday and Saturday night

I will be there in one guise or another.  I might run the bike route for a few hours if that's ok?  And will spend my time marshalling, milling about for the rest of it.

Hurrah!!!!!!!!!   I shall probably do some of it, but not all, as trial run of kit/transitions etc. for the Outlaw.  I'll help out on the other day, so can work out which day is best to do which once you have more of an idea of numbers

I hope to be free next year too, not too sure of A race next year yet, might be Outlaw

This is definitely the best half ironman race out there....do this and you are guaranteed success in your full......

That's what I believe anyway....

My plans for next year are changing all the time....I was booked for that weekend but am free now.....

So there is a good chance I will be there again....was going to have as year off racing tris....but I'm sure I can do something

Come and run around the bike course with me for 5 or 6 hours. It'll be some good training for Lakeland.

Will book time off now so can actually make it next year

Shouldn't you be concentrating on IM Lanza then? and I believe you have been challenged to a smack down on the DIY course by Stanners over on the Outlaw half thread
