this is going to be amazing

OK peeps.   SA spoke with the Manager at the Leisure Centre today and we now have 3 swimming lanes reserved for the Pirates on the Saturday and Sunday at 10:00.  Result!

We have been asked if we can use a separate exit which is the Fire Escape Exit at the rear of the pool which means we can set up T1 much better than last year.  It may be advisable to have a pair of flip-flops to hand.   We have to use this exit on Health & Safety grounds as people last year went straight out of the pool, through Reception, leaving a trail of water behind them....... yes SA, i am looking at you and .... *puts hand in air* ... me!

 

If it wasn't for the trail of wet foot prints last year I'd've never found my way out of the leisure center

ssssshhhhhhh.we are all lovely and perfectly sane....

Is there a plan to meet up on the day prior to the swim, or do we meet at the leisure centre? and what time is it best to be there for? and can I have the postcode to calc travelling time... Thanks

We meet at our house which is T2, usually at 9 o'clock so I can run through how it all works, we then leave at 09:30 for a gentle 1 mile ride to the leisure centre and set T1

Postcode will be SK11 8LP

Plus lots of info will be posted on here in the week before the event

if you are friendly with the manager can you get him to put some ice in the pool..........I swim a lot faster when the water is cold
