I must remember to bring my arm bands for the swim.

For those who want to know what Captain Lindi looks like before they arrive here is a picture-

Revised programme:

Friday
15.30 afternoon tea for anyone arriving early
17.00 evening run, easy social pace followed by dinner

Saturday
08.30 optional cycle to Coniston
11.00 Coniston 14
13.30 cycle back

OR
Drive to Coniston 14

OR
Shorter run round Windermere

17.30 swim session - 3 groups based on ability. I'll post the swim sets on here nearer the time.

Sunday
09.00 long bike approx 5 hours
15.30 transition session
17.30 swim session

Monday

Mark the swim coach will be with us for the whole weekend. He's an experienced triathlete so can offer a load of advice about running and biking too.

will have to see if I can walk after 5 hours in the car let alone run!!

Given the state of the hills around the youth hostel, I think the only way I'll be managing an "easy, social pace" is if I'm in a car

lol we could all just drive round in convoy..

Just remember its not about speed its about flexing a few muscles, having fun and just enjoying the weekend. There is no pressure on anyone to do anything or every session, your welcome to pick and choose, though bear in mind the knitting club will be in charge of washing up ;o)

Updated times (due to swims being moved slightly)

* You all owe me £6 for the pool hire by the way, would have been £5 based on the original 24 people but now there's approx 20 of us. I trust this is ok?

Are we fitting in a few beers on Friday or Saturday? Plus are we eating in the YH or elsewhere?

I vote for a beer on Saturday night .......... shall I start a list?? :-)
27/03/2006 at 23:23
I hope you can work out how to take the wheels off your bike, Meldy, 'cos it won't fit in the car with them on!

And are you going to tell me where you live or do I have to take a guess ?:-)

A few beers but I wouldnt recommend to many, youll get no sympathy from me if your crawling over a 5 hours bike with a hangover on Sunday.

Sunday night maybe best if you fancy having a few.

Meldy if you can get your bike to me ill take it for you, alternatively if you can get your bike to MK/work I can meet you to pick it up.

***Lindi***

I can give Mark a lift back to Coventry, providing he doesnt want to leave at stupid oclock Monday morning. Se above post, ill be having a few beers Sunday night so plan to leave about lunchtime.

If Mark does need to leave a little earlier I can accomodate it and will duely refrain from quite as much beer.

Thanks for the offer lindi but I'm not about this weekend. I am hoping to actually some training though, which will be a radical change of training tactics for me. I'm meeting Ratbag for a ride on saturday and doing the kingston breakfast run on sunday.
