so, remaining decision really is whether to go for "exclusive limited edition run" of the bottles and order 150 or go for "every man and his do will have one, you'll see them everywhere and grow to hate them" edition and order 300.  will be a 30p saving per bottle if we go for 300.  i don't know really, i mean i think everyone who wants one will have come forward by now.  so 300 is probably an overkill for the Pirates.

At present I think the count was around 130 at the most, that leaves 25-30 ish for those that missed the order or want a couple more.

sorry to nit pick....but can someone tell me how easy it is to get the bigger sized bottles in and out of your cage if you have a compact frame.  My bike is teeny weeny, looking at that pic, I can see me not fitting it in.

Farnie - you could probably use 750ml bottles when (if) it gets hot and you do longer events. You can get bottle cages for smaller frames that you kind of put them in from the side ?

I still have to master the art of taking my water bottle off The New Barley whilst on the move.  I still have to stop

I haven't even gone far enough to need to drink on the move Schmunkee!     I think thats going to change though.........................   Putting fancy bottle holder on my ever increasing list of what to buy for the Vit.

Soupy - I bought a handlebar mounted one to overcome my inadequacies, but The New Barley has extra thick handlebars that taper to normal width towards the ends.  The bottle cage didn't fit .  Noticed the bottle cages of spin bikes at the gym fit a thicker handlebar so trying to pluck up courage to ask if I can have one

Farnie, both Pink and I have teeny tiny compact frames.  We can fit big bottles in the cage on the down tube so I you should be able to.  The only problem might be the cage on the seat tube.  I can only fit a 500ml bottle in there and Pink's bike doesn't even have space for a cage.

hahahaaa

I have a 750ml one, I have just noticed. I never use it because it doesn't fit in the dishwasher....how lazy am I???

I would look after a nice pirate one tho.....I'd even get a proper bottle brush for it and everyfink
