thanks for the responses.  like ditchy mentions i'll be looking for decent bottles like the SIS bottles or the recent cervelo bottles, not the use once and fall apart type bottles you get at an IM.  shiva i'll send you an email later on.

I'll find out what the domain name registration and anything else that's needed will cost.  it's peanuts really.  but it'd be nice to have it covered for whenever the website gets handed on one day.  also any excess monies could go to other things like pirate flags.

so, i'll do some searching later on and get back to you all some time soon.

JD  Do you have an idea of timescales?  Would expected delivery fit around any Pirate Massives? Could a person be nominated per area and hand deliver them/distribute them at further events?

cona, yeah i reckon a normal bag will be alright, maybe some packing around it.

schmunkee - i think it'll take a few months to sort.  hopefully have the bottles in our hands by spring.  if it's earlier then that's great.  would be cool if the bottles delivery would fit around and event.  but for the ease of my brain it may just be easier for me to ship them individually. we can see.

seen a few sites that do bottles for events but the quality looks a little off given it'd be nice if they lasted a couple of years.  i had a look at the bottle that came through the post from triathlete europe the other day, freebie with the subscription.  it's a SIS design type bottle, well made.  anyway, took a look at their website and it looks good.

 was looking at 750ml bigmouth 64mm cap

the freebie i got was 800ml one, but the wider mouth will make it easier to get powders in i reckon.

if we went with this, what do you want on it.  simplistic large skull on the bottom section, garland of skulls on the upper bit?

This appears to give a rough RGB value of R=247 G=217 B=23 (HTML f7db17)

The picture I originally posted above had a slightly different yellow (a bit brighter). I've now corrected the linked image to the above values.

Note: It is likely that other sources will give slightly different conversions of the pantone to RGB values.

e.g. The Pantone web site sample for 108C gives is shown with an RGB values of: R=252 R=217 B=0 (HTML FCD900)
