Hi IW  We're settling back in to Oz life, done a couple of runs, and got IM Cairns (was Challenge!) in a few weeks, so that will be a tough day out on no training. Will sleep through London mara, big day at work tomorrow including flying to Brisbane and back for a 1 hour meeting ...

Really fancy IM Cairns one day. Let us all know what it's like mate.

A bit windy today, but otherwise perfect for running. A tough last 7 or 8 miles for me, lost a few minutes to come home in 2:39. I managed to spot the pirate massive at mudchute for a change, thanks for the support HC et al. I spotted one pirate racing, coming the other way at 13/22 miles, so if that was you giving me a bemused look at around 2:10 or so, you were running well there, hope it continued...

Cheers all.  Well on the way thanks Hope, courtesy of a few at the Red Lion.  As for LS's comment, let's just say I earn the "crap swimmer" calls out there.

Roll on Outlaw, should be good fun.

Well done Dave. You looked pretty happy at 17.

A fantastic run CD.

I looked out for pirates on't telly and spotted one wearing a red visor hat.

I was suffering big time by then HC, but it was good to see you all because I usually get half a mile further on and wonder how I missed the RW groups at Mudchute. Plus I had the family waiting at 19 miles which always keeps you going. After that it was real slog.

I saw him as well. I think it may be Cougie but I'm not sure.

Also saw a lot of a lady pirate who seemed to be stalk ing Gardon Ramsay near the end

Gordon stopped for a chat at 17. The temptation to tell him to fuck off was very strong but we resisted <beam>. He was very charming really.

Gordon didn't look vry happy at the end.  there was someone next to him who was showboating and I  think Gordon was a tad bemused...

it was great to meet a few new pirates today and catch up with some shipmates from previous campaigns...

4:11 for me...  not the target I was going for, it all went a bit wrong somewhere after the 7 mile pee break!  Ho hum!  London DONE!  Never again, it's just not for me...  too many flipping people getting in the way.  Being tripped up twice didn't endorse the mass marathon concept to me either.

Congrats to all who ran.  I hope you were closer to your targets than me...

Fab support from around the course - although in truth I found it hard to spot people in the crowds.  I think I spotted DTB, and a few others.

VT'd - that would have been Hairier Half I think....

Wow CD that's an amazing time!

I did 4.22 which I'm very happy with.  All went well and paced it really well until mile 25 when I blew up.  Gutted I didn't go for a drink with PSC, FF and HH at the end but got totally overwhelmed with the all the crowds and had to runaway

Lovely to see everyone - old and new (as it were) today.

I offered Gordon a beer before I realised who it was...he was very lovely...

Well done Pingu and an amazing time from CD (that's hours not days, right?).

Despite looking, I managed to miss the Pirate support posse. Although I was so spaced out from 17-22, I also missed a number of major landmarks (including the inconspicuous Tower of London)!

There was briefly a tall blonde female Pirate in front of me (wearing white visor) but as a forumite rather than a socialite, I've no idea who it was.

All is left to declare is that I narrowly avoided a PW today. That'll teach me for running two in a week. At least pleased not to have finished on a weekday.

Dunno who the woman was who died yards from the finish according to Yahoo, but condolences to the family and well run. Very sad and I hope she is in a better place and wish strength to her family.

And just noticed Fauja Singh is still going at 101 years old! Says it will be his last mara so he can concentrate on shorter distances and faster times! Bloke is a fekkin' hero!

PRW, if somebody told me I was running a marathon this Sunday I would use words that I don't normally type on hear.  Well done, the thought of running 2 in a week makes me a feel a bit sick!

It was me in the red visor - going for the proper tri ponce look

Great pirate support as usual - at Mudchute and other places - thank you, it helps

Finished in 3.39, which I'm pleased with as it's been a busy 3 weeks - I'm just disappointed that it took me 17 miles to drop Jaffa

Great to meet pirates I haven't met before
IP - how long did you hide in the toilet for?
