Nursey - Always good to have Raf around when things are going wrong. I wonder if he will chain smoke all the way across Europe on our drive to the race... could cost me  a bit of time on race day.

Hows the training going in the snowy north?

Howdy Scuba

Training is going fine thanks. Still fairly gentle, but fine. Haven't had the bike outdoors yet - the country roads round here have been too icy, so the turbo is earning its keep.

How's your battle plan shaping up?

Will you two have any room in your van for kit, what with all the Rizlas and cans of Special Brew?

Evening team

had a good start to the week, shocked my body by being in the pool before 7am one morning - that'll be enough of that malarkey

latter end of the week will be mainly encroached by work ..

Don't you melt if you get water on you before sunrise Meldy?

I knew it was all going too well. After just six weeks of consistent training, my mojo seems to be taking a holiday

trogs, we allow for holidays, it'll come back

Should I be worried that Nursey is dreaming about me?????

And how dare you refer to Solihul's finest, luxury off road vehicle as a VAN!!

My swimming is so poor at the mo' I would be better off with trampolining

Will, whats the thinking behind the walking as recovery ? Is it simply for recovery or to get the miles in ?

Meld, I like to walk/hike .. time with my better half and the dog. ... plus i  have a lot less aches and pains from the running as  a result

I also do another 3-4 walks per day with the dog, of about 1 miles or so

My dogs would leave home at such cruelty !!

Also we don't really walk.......it's more of a stroll.........we can cover about a mile in an hour

I never realised how much benefit I got from dog walking 1-3 miles twice a day but I've noticed I seem to be more prone to aches and pains since I no longer have dogs

On a happier note, my mojo seems to have returned

It does make a difference Trogs most definitely........it's just I happen to have 3 of the laziest breed on the planet...and they're not keen on wet and / or cold and one of them is unimpressed by the dark!!

And being 3 lads when they do go out we have to stop and piddle up every darn thing higher than a blade of grass........relaxing when you have time to stroll and take in the fresh air and surroundings, not so much at 6am in January before work!!

Glad your mojo's back too
