Holly, a friend of mine had the same op a couple of summers ago, the results were stunning actually. She's a national league hockey player and I don't think she had to have too much time out from training. I could ask her how long it took if you wanted specifics.

ok, my mate said 2 weeks until she went back to her normal training routine. Having said that, she wouldn't have been doing the intensity level of training  (i.e. hours) that you're looking at but... still enough to stay at national level. I think once the compression support is off, it shouldn't be a problem.

(disclaimer, not medical, either of us!)

I'm reckoning that i can get on the turbo at the weekend (if the bandages allow or just for the left leg!), then I'll start back just turboing for a week once the bandages are off, and start back running later that week or the week after.
