Spring Training

LJS is making noises about going to the Turkish part of Cyprus for a couple of weeks for some warmer training weather  - anyone been? We've only been to the Greek side before. There are some good prices on villas and apartments for rent, but flying there seems to be a bit of a problem - don't fancy a stopover in Istanbul for several hours. Any info?

Hi, I am a Turkish Cypriot living in London and I am a member of Turkish Cypriot Triathlon Federation. To fly directly to Northern Cyprus, as you said you will have to wait for an hour at Istanbul/ Turkey. This is not longer than an hour and sometimes even takes 30 minutes. If you are planning to train in North, it is much more easier and shorter for transportation to fly to North. The shorter motorway journey will cover the waiting in Istanbul =)  You can still cross the border at Nicosia by the way.if you fly to South.
