german housewives can do what they like. young master collier is putting his cheesy old feet up on days 4, 8 and 11. and booing any of his comrades still competing on 14.

i might take alex my masseuse with me. she has magic fingers.

I doubt she has much time for an extensive beauty regime, FB (shame on her).

Peter Stringfellow is gawjus anyway. If only I was 16 again.

rosey the double looks great!! 2007??
23/09/2005 at 16:21
or maybe even 2006. the website is still the 2005 one by the looks of things. is that the one you were talking about, where a family looks after you and follows you round stuffing burgers in your mouth?
23/09/2005 at 16:23
That would be a nice family holiday. You would get loads of brownie points if you did that.
23/09/2005 at 16:27
its a shame its in term time (unless they delay it a bit)
23/09/2005 at 16:54
yep thats the one. there are a number of families in the area that support the race and some even put you up. however there is a leisure centre that most of the athletes stay in, you are appointed a support crew if you wish that help as well. Swim in the St lawrence, cycle loop, run loops. 2007, might have to forego IM if I am doing Norseman as well but that is my year of Hawaii attack !!
Making no promises or predictions past next year.
Also all sorts of things up in the air now as we just had an offer accepted on a house but we are bering thrown out of our rented in 4 weeks cos the landlord won't give 1 months extension. I reckon about 8 weeks to completion giving 4 weeks of living out of a suitcase at a friendly relatives, could be a problem for training !!!

here's another totally mad event for you lot - the Inferno in the Bernese Oberland. 3.1 km swim, 92km road bike, 35km MTB, and a 25km mountain run up the Schilthorn (usually snowing up there). 5,500m climb in total over the course, 2970m of it on the run.

Or there's always the Xterra events! You have to be truly off your rocker to do one of those. Take this description of the MTB course on Maui - 'the plunge, a 5-mile screaming downhill with loose lava rocks like land mines on the trail and on either side of the trail pointy lava rocks and Kiawe thorns. In other words, Don't Fall'.
