Just signed up the family as a team to do the 5k in our local pool, plan is they all do what they can starting with daughter who managed 100m last time we went to the pool and i finish up with whatever distance is left, (assuming they leave me any) should be fun, nice to get rest of family involved and now they want to go training.

registration was a hassle though as had to sign them all up individually.

Will I see you next year on the OW circuit ITB? (Well, local lakes anyway...)

Yes, I'll be around, spent most of last year's OW in the sea but back to the lakes this year.

Good effort Honk, getting everyone on board and for training too!

Going to sign up to over the weekend.

I've just signed up for 5K, I need to get back in the pool more often and this will do it

Hmm - i went for a swim today. Did 2500m in 1:22:00 - not sure how I am going to squeeze 5000m in to 3:00:00! I have never swam more than 2500m.

swim everyday, it helps a lot with the frequencies.

get a coach or a friend to spot your technique

So who signed up?  It's less than 2 weeks away - how did that happen?

I am quite looking forward to it though.

DF3 - try the Outlaw - I am sure that swim is uphill on the way back!

Entered myself and Alice (7) for the team 1.5k - she might manage 500m in 30-minutes then I'll finish it off.

Looking at Hampton outdoor for the 5k - can I bothered with getting to Hampton?

I signed up for the 5k and still wondering why. I have done a couple of 3k swims though lately so I should be ok!

I didn't think they allowed fish to take part. Presumably as they have no pockets for sponsorship money.
