Ooooh this is all getting a bit serious innit Unless you are getting in to do one 400m TT and out again then they all become intervals dont they
I get in .. do an easy but building warm up
then have 2 goes at the 400TT
then a warm down focusing on a slow long stroke
Is it wrong to giggle at long slow stroke?
I need a holiday
I'd do a warmup swim them some technique work and a build set of something like 6x50m getting faster each time, rest for a couple of minutes then do the 400m TT. Afterwards i'd go back to either technique or a longer slow swim. Or maybe go to the diving pool and look like an idiot trying to dive...
Guess I had better get my hair wet before Sunday
Ive already swm 3x this week and neglected to understand you had to do a TT every week. Ive already identified that there is lane swimming at the local splash rectangle 4pm tomorrow and Sunday so I shall do the necessary.
I'm sure Will said you dont have too ... you just dont gain any points when you dont FWIW my 400s are usually done as the first as a slow warm up, second is a TT and the 3rd, 4th + are all at consistent CSS
I've been ill so no time for me
I did do 8:06 on Tuesday so might as well use that.
My pool is closed for most of this week due to the paralympics so I may only have one opportunity and that had better be tomorrow I suppose !
8:54 pro-rated in today's tri
That did include a long run to T1 though.
How can a feckin run to T1 count ... I'll be adding in the time to dry between my toes next week
Shouldn't take too long, what with all that webbing.
Wasn't around yesterday ...
