Don't mistype and put in waterboarding, or you'll be on the first flight out to Guantanamo....On the plus side you wouldn't need to worry about the tent..

or about Schmunkee and M..eldy

Good point Rafiki; they'll probably both have your guts for garters

My mum is getting so excited at the prospect of helping out bless her.  I mentioned the transition tent and someone mentioning on another thread that it is rather cramped and lots of bare bums and bollocks.......she only wanted to know if she could help out in there!!!!   She is a worry.

No doubt who you take after then Saffers.

Due to being crocked and being unable to take part can someone stick me on the feedstation list, will there be transport to get to and from there because i'd like to support at the run /finish.

13/05/2012 at 17:53
Razor - there is no official transport but I am sure that there will be space in someone's car for the journey to the feed station and back. Last year people left the feed station as the flow of cyclists reduced.

It Is my aim to get people back to HPP as soon as poss to support everyone for the run/finish.

As a guide, Barlos and I were the last to leave the feed station last year and we managed to get back to HPP between 4 and 4:30pm

I'm sure either Raf or I will be driving and have space Razor (and of course we would always have space for you Schmunks)

On second thoughts it depends whether or not Schmunks has removed all the Thornton's from my car at point

Gastank - thanks for the offer, but I will be like the captain of the Titanic and I will be the last to leave the feed station, unless you wanna stay behind with me

(hope the metaphor isn't prophetic)

when i helped out in 2010, I got stuck on my own for about two hours with no-one around me waiting to be told I could leave.  Luckily I had a book, but i have to admit i'm not keen to do that again!  All the supporters had fecked off too, so was pretty dull.  Schmunks do you know if we have to marshall other bits too? If we do, it would be good to do it in pairs at least to have some company.

LtP - Yes, we may well have to marshall other bits too but last year it was done in 2's or 3's

Cool, be good to at least have someone to chat too when you're waiting for the last bike to come through!

Ltp, in 2010 we didnt have a large number of supporters so had to sent individuals out and only swapped them once, last year we had people in pairs and swapped them twice.

Also in 2010 we were kept at our positions for an hour longer than necessary as the organisers were missing a cyclist who it later was found out had been mixed up with a no participant or had chosen to stop?

Schmunkee is coordinating this year so expect everything to run like clockwork
