Hello all, just been looking back over recent conversations and am a little confused. Firstly, isn't the kit thread usually a list of people buying kit?
Second I don't recall having any initiation / introduction / proof of intent test previously when ordering kit over the past few years. I fear I may have bypassed this when my good friend Kanga thrust me his Monaco for my first tri 2 1/2 years ago and told me to wear it as I'd get good support! (he's got a lot to answer for!)
Since then I've been building up to my first iron distance, doing a few ballbusters, Bala and various other bits and meeting a few great pirates along the way. Now really looking forward to the outlaw and becoming a 'proper' pirate if there is such a thing and meeting a load more, but having nagging doubts if when where etc I should be wearing kit.
I have largely refrained from wearing it for training as I understood this was frowned upon, but looking at the training thread seems some are wearing theirs everytime they venture out (don't blame them as it is pretty cool!). Can we have some clarity please for the sake of myself and others who are no doubt in the same position?
We're all here to challenge ourselves and make friends not enemies i'm sure! So, if there is a kit order in amongst this anywhere, do I qualify? Happy to give my life story if required!
