Following on from Meldy's announcement re Chiltern 100, I have noticed that 2012 sportive dates are starting to be announced so I thought it might be time to start putting them together in one place.

As it's my thread, I shall start

Evans Ride It! Series

15 April - The Longest Day

27 May - Chiltern 100

17 Jun - Great Western Sportive

I'm looking for an event that is earlier in the year - only been out to play a couple of times at the Manchester 100 so far, and that's in September (2nd September 2012: http://www.bike-events.com/Ride.aspx?id=328 ).

What's a sportive? I know what a 100m time trial is , perhaps you can all do one of those next year. Your target to beat, my last 3 years best time- 4 15 14. Or perhaps you fancy a cycle road race!

Seren - the people who do the Great Western Sportive also do Cross Country one's. Not sure if they are what you are looking for tho

Seren - you wont find many between November and March due to the risks of Ice and the limited hours of daylight.

Theirs the Bosworth Sportive in April (date not confirmed yet for 2012) it's run by Full Boar events. It's 52 miles and £10 to enter well was last year

18th - 29th April 2012 LEJOG. Average 110 miles a day. It's a work thing & I'm in! Perfect 'training' for the Outlaw!
