The Challenge folks have just announced that they have concluded an agreement with the ETU to host the 2013 European long course Championships in Roth and the middle distance (HIM) championships in Kraichgau (just around the corner from us!) - remember Kraichgau, Smiley Lady?

So if the specialists can get me back to running next month - guess where I'll be in 2013?

Anyone fancying a crack at the HIM - we have a couple of  spare bedrooms, as long as you're not scared of dogs! And there's two camp sites near us, one in walking distance and the other about 10 mns drive.

Are they doing next years as well? Thought it was just 2012 & introducing an extra championship. So instead of a poorly supported 'long distance' European champs we'll now have 2 championships inside sellout (well Roth is anyway) events.

I do like the idea of a half ironman.... I was considering the one in Antwerp but this could be good.

@UltraIronwolf - what is the area like? (Hilly/woods/city)?
