The Vit 2005 has to have been the wettest race I've ever done, but I loved it. The support I felt sorry for they had to stand in that rain for hours, (daft beggars)

That day was unbelievable. But I meet debbo and BtS and Melli and DrM and plenty of other pirates who are still very good friends for the first time

I have to say the pirates has been one of the best parts of my triathlon journey over 8 years, many many memories and I hope they just keep going, already looking at races for next year and almost stopped to consider Lanza, I don't usually do the same IM race more than once but there is always a good shout for an early race on a beach course so the family get a good vacation, however currently if I don't qualify it's competing with Lake Placid and Arizona.

The pirates can turn a very ordinary amazing race experience into something out of this world and I love the friends I have made over the years, orsum ??

The stripper was 2006.

The 2005 Vit was the only time I've ever pee'd on the bike as there was no chance of anyone noticing.

yep - the stripper was 2006 as that was my "comeback" event after my cancer episode so I was completely bolloxed after and went to bed early and missed the whole thing.......and quite pleased to have missed it by the stories later

2005 Vit - I remember taking a very soggy tenner out of my purse. It was a plastic purse, which had been in my bag. Somehow it had become completely soaked.
