There's an old Chinese proverb KK
Don't drink from cup what the goose shits in.

Just geese? What about swan shit and the like?

Well i've been trying to decide on a tri to fit in next year after my mara in April, so this will be perfect. Nice one Nicko

I loved it this year! Perhaps a bit too much, so I will be back next year to push myself a bit harder and maybe not drive random strangers mad on the run by chatting and grinning like a nutter!

Im looking for another middle distance earlier on in the year... my hubby and friends got half outlaw places but I decided not to sign up before the vit incase I really hated it. Then it sold out Guess I will have to be the bag and track pump mule for that one! Any suggstions (close to home -midlands- and on a budget)?

There is an Oly at Market bosworth in June.  When's the Beaver on? (at Belvoir Castle close to Grantham).

Buttercup the beaver is usually may I have done it twice and both times it has kicked my butt lol. The middle distance I find tough because the run is horrible. Are you thinking of doing the half or oly?

Beaver is 24th May,the Graffam half 8th June and there is the Cowman in Milton keynes in July.

Really Buttercup?  An Oly you say?  Why didn't you mention this earlier

Its too close to the Outlaw Half for me Chris to do it as a middle distance.  There was talk about doing the Big Sow and the sprint distance beaver

Go on Caz you know you want to

I forgot about the oly at bosworth, did the sprint this year so may do oly next year. (Although my theory is if im slow at 70.3 its still fab, if im slow at oly its just slow!) Cowman sounds good... in my summer hols too! I wish I had been quicker off the mark for outlaw though.... looks like a good race. Im even semi considering the full, but shhhhh.

sounds like I may come and support at the Vit as I am planning on doing the wild boar with buttercup

may have to look up the date of the cowman...

Cowman is a good course, few undulations on the bike, nothing bad. 1 hill on run from main road through town to some fields then back down to park and lakes.

Has anybody registered yet.....? Thinking of doing it next year.....

ANyone know what the refund/reallocate policy on the Vit is? Happy to pay up but it may subsequenlty have to cancel if the summer hols have to be then.

If it's not to spenny to cancel or to get another Pirate to take my place, it makes sense to nab a place when it opens

gladys refund policy is on the pacesetter web site, I know you can't give your place to anyone else. This year I got a last minute place about 4 weeks out. You could always take your chance or just come and support

for the last 3 years there has always been 'last minute' places available at around the 6 to 8 weeks before the event mark, they dont seem to go that fast either, this year they were advertising them for a week
