Rafiki just spat my coffee out lol behave yourself I'm a married man

I'm still learning Cake just got a new book "how to be a smooth talker" by Matt Crake. Worth a read mate

Ok back to training did a 4 mile run still lots of flem? I'm ok apart from when I run now or though was more manageable this time. Hilly windy 4 miles last week 44 minutes today 37 so just another 22 miles to go? Do you have to do the 26.2 miles in one go??

4.6 mile run tonight, avg pace 9.47 min/mile and felt great and managed to stay in Z2. Things seem to be coming back slowly so not too worried plenty of time before Fink starts.ankle aches a bit after and I'm running with a bit of a limp which hopefully will disappear the stronger it gets. So feeling positive again for the first time in a long time

Glad to hear positive news Razor.
I am just doing a tiny bit of exercise at the moment, no running yet, but did a 2 mile fast walk and only got pain at the end, so things are improving slowly. Having a busy week, so just popping in briefly.

Steady .... Don't rush it or you'll go backwards. They say time is a great healer.

razor - good to hear you are on the mend

steady - just take it easy, don't make it worse

dounle run yesterday as I am getting over my lurgy, nice easy 6.5 miles in the morning, followed by a track session with the tri club in the evening. Doubling up on the day of tri club is ok as the tri club run is pretty short and never too taxing, a few short intervals on a track.

rest day today, got a 10K tomorrow and I am hoping to finally get near the 60min mark, but we'll see how it goes, it is trail run so they are never as fast as road

+1. There is a difference between pain and a niggle.

Glad I had the turbo for the last month when I was injured, or I'd have gone mad!.

Good luck on the trail run tomorrow MC!

I have done nothing but a session of vb since HM. Maybe go for a little run on Sunday and plan what I want to do/achieve next year.

I am listening and obeying the advice. A bit fed up as the running mojo has come back and the body is not up to it yet. Great that I can cycle and also keeping up the swimming, the turbo is set up and the old 2 in 1 cross trainer is sold and out of the way, so no excuses now for not practising the pedalling malarkey.
Mr steady gave his commuting bike a service and put a new chain on, I was in the garage at the time watching and he asked me to pass him the chain link tool  no help at all, I didnot have a clue what it looked like so he had to get it himself, I can recognise different allen keys, spanners, screwdrivers, pliers but not a chain link tool. Need a few more lessons in bike maintenance at some point.

Anyway I have a HM race to go to on Sunday, but I am helping out only, think it will be a long morning as got to be there before 8am and finish about 1pm.

Good luck Mathschick for yor trail run and any others rushing around at the weekend.
