Mmm nom rose gets my vote or a nice sauv rest day today!  MC I am hoping the weather reports are correct!! Given I'm biking up and back!  I figure that will be enough of a workout for the weekend. I have been a bit of a geek too I downloaded the results for the Wild Boar and was figuring out the average and the median for each leg to give me something to aim for

28/06/2013 at 18:43

blimey you are geeky!! So what were the average and median for each leg?

28/06/2013 at 19:57

Something like this:

Swim Open Median: 0:36:36 Average 0:45:25

Bike Median: 2:46:59 Average: 2.56:30

Run Median: 1:43:40 Average: 1.58:26

Total Median: 5:14:17 Average: 5:10:41

I may have some work to do

Evening all. Emsi is correct, the answer here is Rioja I have once again decided that swimming is over-rated and am spending the evening quaffing wine instead.

I have cycled and cycled and cycled. Was away Wednesday night so planned to cycle over some Welsh hills to Chepstow, but after 6km realised I'd forgotten my drinks. Back to the hotel (20km loop) then off to Chepstow and back. All in for 55km.

Didn't do owt yesterday then managed some hill reps today on the bike. Currently about 120km for the week.

Enjoy the weekend if you're racing. Hope the shoulder is OK Razor. That was my worry last year but all was ok.

Then I was dragged out running this morning with MrsCat. 2min run/1min walk and the achilles seems OK so far after 4km. Another week off running just incase..

Lol! Buttercup that does sound complicated!

Just back from a 3hr LSR. Wasn't supposed to be quite as long as that, but never mind Even managed to run (well, jog very slowly) up the steep hill with switch backs. My 9yr came on the bike so it was very enjoyable. She reckons she's going to do all my long marathon training runs with me. Will have to share my medal with her.

Nice one Chili!

28/06/2013 at 22:03

think I need to get on the bike more, training has been  a bit slack recently for all sorts of reasons

28/06/2013 at 22:34

Wow, Chili, great LSR with mini on bike.

Coach IronCat, good to hear you are helping Mrs IronCat, another PB for a Parkrun should occur at this rate.

You may not hear from me for a while, going away and no internet access. But rest assured I will seek out an internet café to find out the results of The Outlaw.

EP - you will be fine, don't panic, lots of pirates there supporting

it was great to meet buttercup this morning

nice swim at HolmePierrepoint - did tast a bit of duck poo though

29/06/2013 at 15:51

I imagine I swallowed a fair amount too MC

Chill EP you got this - just keep on going!! Say it with me 'keep on going'!

I am now watching the tour de france and they're going at 50kmph average - looking like a shoal of fish

29/06/2013 at 20:50

Mmmm, my bike computer reset itself to kmph the other day and I panicked when going downhill it said 42kmph!

Have a lovely time Steady

Can't wait to hear all about the adventures at the Outlaw next weekend

Parkrun this morning. A rather slow 32 min 5K on legs still wobbly from last nights LSR. Did talk the whole way through to a lovely lady in her 70's who began running when she was 58. She did a marathon aged 65 in just under 6hrs. Oh I do hope I am still running when I'm her age!

Steady - MrsCat switched from 1/1 run/walk to 4/1 and took 3 minutes off her PB!
