Maybe I should join in in 2015 if everyone else is doing it...

Suzanne Vega was brilliant as always. Didn't realise she has a new album out; she did 4-5 songs from it and very good indeed. I asked bf to buy me the cd.

Spin for me after work, was thinking about making it into an indoor brick, see how I feel later.

I too didn't get into Ride 100 and hadn't entered. Really not interested in trying to haul my bike down to London! King of the Penines would be a much better ride, but not sure I am up to those hills

Not even I'm that mental Those are big hills.

I can't get Iron maiden out of my head now.

Ok, so another question for the ladies of the thread. Just interested to have an approximate idea ( I know it'll defer etc) but,
What's the frame size on your bike and how tall are you?

Just looking at bikes again, this time on ebay. As I will have to buy a proper road bike if I'm to do Wild Boar.

48cm 5'1 scott contessa

Specialized Dolce 51cm but borderline on 54cm, the LBS went for smaller as not used to riding a road bike at the time and it gave more flexibility on fitting.
Hybrid Trek is a 17" .  I am 5'4" with 29" inside leg but slightly short on the arms.

Tonight's school tready run cancelled in favour of outside run tomorrow. I'm crap at tready running finding it harder and I'm slower as it is but today was rather crap and I was still at my desk doing stuff gone 6 so bollox to it

I don't feel like eating either so maybe I'm run down?

mikasa - do it

I saw Suzanne Vega play back in 1986!

I also have a specialized dolce but can't remember what the frame size is , maybe 54 cmas I am 5'6 so mine would be bigger than steady's

long long day at work. Did tell the person that upset me yesterday that she had upset me! And managed to do it with a bit of dignity too

Mikasa - do it!

7 miles done... VERY SLOWLY!!!!!!! Oo and wet!

06/02/2014 at 20:56

Good work MC! ((hugs))

I got wet too Mrs D coming home enough of the rain already!!

Thanks ladies. Seems I'm pretty much like Steady. I think I'd be happy with a smaller bike as well as not had a road bike before and think I'll find the position challenging. But at least gives me some idea what to expect. I have found a local'ish bike shop so will try to find some time to get there. Will probably be April/May time before I can get it though.

Indoor brick for me. 48min spin and 2km run. Not too bad.

06/02/2014 at 22:10

Mikasa, I am not too far away from you now, so I could bring my bike down and you could see what you think and presuming this rain ever stops I could get out for a ride. Which bike shop are you thinking of going to. Dustboy may be able to recommend one.

Spinning tonight was hard work, felt sick at times and sweated buckets which is unusual for me. Think I may have a hot chocolate drink for recovery purposes.

Ran 4.5 miles with Horse tonight in the cold and rain, but still enjoyed it, we averaged 9'43" min/mile so I'm ok with that but I think I hold Horse back a bit but he dosn't say anything.
