I see I'm not the only one on the sick list, bloody cold, fought it over the weekend but on Monday it issued a total take down as I couldn't breath. Thankfully that only lasted the day .Hubby had a right laugh seeing the state of me after walking down the stairs, helpfully suggested that I was unfit and need to exercise more!
yesterday turned back into more normal crummy cold and back at work today suffering hot flushes.

So training this week = nill, have a 40 min easy turbo planned for this evening IF I'm up to it.

not sure I should be coming any where near you germ-loaded lot!!

rest day for me anyway because I am tired, last night it was parents evening at both my kids's school so it was manic!

Get better everyone and good swimming Buttercup.

Had enough so off for a game of tennis - will take it easy I promise.

Blimey - we are all in the wars.

no swim for me today, back still sore and so run down that the inside of my mouth has started falling to bits literally. V sore!

the cue folks is to remember that rest is just as important as training and nutrition. Fluids and an early night for all please!

Mrs D - I only run so I can eat cookies! Trouble is I run 3miles, burn off 300 Kcal then eat about 800 ... Now Mathschick I know there is a small problem in my maths isnt there?! Avoiding scales since my gain of 1/2 stone during this marathon campaign grrrr

Buttercup - what's news on job front? Any update?

Cake - it was a two pack, you can have the other packet

Emma - my Maths is generally as dodgy as yours!

7 miler tonight with the OH. Quite parky... What's this about snow

Keep well all you sicklies (((hugs)))

Enjoying a rest morning. Work this afternoon, that should bring me back down quickly! Be nice to nurses people, they are genuinely only trying to help

27/02/2014 at 11:50

love the nurses! The job is probably going to end in April time but that's life so hunting for a new'un!

Run tonight but only if it isn't tipping it down!! I have been told or suggested that now might be the time to admit having a 'cold' since I now have a cold sore and was apparently snuffly all night It isnt enough that I cant train so will do within reason

DS - get better immediately!

I'm hurrying along Mrs D, honestly.  *nods reassuringly*

Not quite back in Fink mode yet, but managed to do an 11 mile run instead to keep me on track with the half-marathon next month.  Legs felt pants from the get-go and I made horrible hard work of it, but pleased to have done something.

Pixie at the moment I’m uming and aring about which marathon to do in Oct as got a few options one of them is Leicester are you entered? Would be rude not to if you’re doing it.

Bookie's never actually done a marathon chuck so she might do but might be more interested in the half. Know she really wants to do one through so if the injures stay at bay you never know. Shouldn't be a issue but just in case last time I did Leicester the medal's where rubbish. Cheap race through.

Actually now that I think on it the last tiem I did Leicester it was the sheffield derby in football so kept running into bookie's and pubs to see the score. Wednesday won.

She has because she wanted to do a marathon and wasn't sure if she could run the whole way because of a injury she did a 40 miler ultra instead because of the time cut off. I'm the sensable one.

no training for me, although standing outside in the cold shivering and watching the aurora must have burnt up a few calories...

28/02/2014 at 12:08

Swift turbo before work, although took a while to build up to it!

Must be coming up to HM time for people soon

28/02/2014 at 12:17

Stop that chook - lalalalalalala cant hear you!

28/02/2014 at 14:51

Turboed last night but the after effect were not nice so skipped this morning swim. Feeling better again now so plan to bike and run over the weekend and get back in the pool next week.

HM- I'm now booked in for one on April 6th which will be my first 2014 race, eek.
