Ive just read that there will be 2 offical IM races in the UK in 2005 :-

Full at Sherbourn (sp???)
And a half (location to be decided)

Interesting Will - where on earth is Sherborne? Is it very hilly? Likely to be a lake swim I guess? Might be interested in coming over for it.

Sherbourne's in Dorset, IW - it's the location of HIMUK. Beautiful, with a castle and everything!

What !! ??
Have I missed something? I have already entered Sherbourne, and I'm certain it's a Half IM. I would be delighted if it's full but I don't think it is. (Cost £130 by the way)

This month's 220 has all of the info.
Apparently 2004 Sherbourne Hawaii qualifiers will qualify for Hawaii 2004.
They are moving the Half IM to summer 2005, as Will says , location to be decided, and Sherbourne will host a Full IM in Aug 2005.
Let's hope the half goes back to Llanberis!

Can't beat Longest Day from Wolverhampton.

Having said that if the half goes to Llanberis I'd be tempted back to an M-dot run event.
The bike is spectacular.

Well then, Roth seems not so expensive at 195 Euros for the full distance. HIMUK sounds a lot for a half.

You will find the rumour in 220 magazine. They don't usually get it wrong. 2005 definitely 2*IM sanctioned events.

Taste it, taste Longest Day and see which tastes nicest!
