I see there's no one around but I'll have to drop my message anyway... this is one I think CO may like.

I've been out of action for over 5 weeks and I've only just got to the stage where I can run about 4 miles without dying. Initially I was very confused, specially as my symptoms were all over the place but then, someone found a 'spider bite' on my side. Guess I must have rolled on the critter as I slept. Anyway, since all my joints still ache and my HR is nowhere near steady yet, I'm having to pull out of Zurich. I may still come over and help drink the beer though.

oh dear. but - i told you so!

you have to come over though. the outing wouldn't be the same without you (for a start, you wouldn't be there)

I know, you said. Bstrd got me in my sleep though. That'll learn me to go canoeing in the wilderness. Should have stuck to running/cycling/pool sharking.

Really really sorry to hear about this, hope you get back on track soon.

Would be great to have your support at Switzerland if you can make it.

That's terrible Imp, not running myself at the moment but it isn't spider related.

Thanks you lot, I really appreciate it.

Heck! at least it's not tick related which was the first opinion they had. Anyway, I'm back on the track and I'm going to try for 5 miles tonight. By the way, open water swimming is on throughout the year here... if you don't mind the cottonmouths!

thanks Candy, I like the comment that if you keep the committee small enough, government by committee was easy. keep it really small and I've heard t called a dictatorship :-)

Can't be arsed to log in as myself, so I suppose this is the official 'birth of the pirates. We should celebrtate each year. I think from henceforth the 8th of October should become official PSOF day

In terms of design, I would go for a yellow top with black side panels and a big black scull and crossbones front and back. And for the shorts or bottom half of the tri suit, go for black with yellow side panels with a small black skull and crossbones on the sides.

Not that I know anything about design.

I like the idea of having no team name on there as well. It is more subversive, people will wonder who the f**k all these pirates are

Sorry that was smiffy and the quote is from melik. Who it would appear we could call 'dad' or maybe just 'uncle'

but I still have a hankering for my suggestion for a team name on Page 1

........the "Monsters of Cock" - oh the fun you could have with logos, supporters calls etc..............
