I'm quite tempted to give the Xsprint a go.  Not fit enough to do a double

No - just the cross for a laugh - I hope!

Are you gonna use the Tri-X or the MTB?

13/08/2012 at 18:25

Oooh, the road sprint starts at 7.30.  I could do that and be back for my appointment later

Do it!

I'm now considering the sprint instead of the Oly, so I can be back with the family. Supposedly driveable in an hour from here too.

Probably the MTB - unless it's bone dry and baking hot every day for the next two weeks

The single track bits could be fun on a tri cross. You get to practice your 'Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee'

I'm in

had to opt for the sprint road wotsit so off at 7.30am.  A veritable lie in

I think i'm going to throw my hat in for the road sprint, don't want to take up too much time of the family on bank hol weekend... will check for places tomorrow morning

I'm doing road sprint with the sole aim of trying to finish before the first person in the Oly which goes off 30mins earlier.

Should be fun,  quick blast in the morning,  bacon sandwich and still home in time to tackle the missus'  long list of bank holiday DIY chores

Phew, friendly faces will be there then :0). Jaffa if you don't want to do your missussssss list I can find a few in our house for you?

I'm going to do the road Oly with the sole aim of trying to finish before Jaffa

Great to read your messages about Vachery.  Thought we should let you know that beacuse of the huge number of entrants we're going to have to take a few days to sort the start list so we will be closing the triathlon race entry at midnight Monday 20 August 2012.

Hope that helps and look forward to seeing you there.

So do I enter the Oly and go with CD's target, or enter the sprint and go with CD's target? The sprint is a bit short on bike distance...

it's a bloody shame that I can't make this year as I wanted to do the off-road one - maybe next year instead but then if it's Bank Holiday weekend again that may be a no-go as we are looking at a 1/2 IM in Northern France...

17/08/2012 at 10:01

Next year we plan to avoid the bank holiday weekend and school holiday period.  Would that help?  What distances interest you?  1/2 IM, Olympic (standard), or sprint?

Let us know, your feedback will help us deliver the race you want.

I thought about doing this, but next weekend isnt do-able for me and I'm a bit too much of a diesel chugger for Olympic distance and below. I'd be interested in a future 1/2 IM though. I'm usually a big supporter of the RNF events as they are local-ish for me and the location is awesome.
