Vachery Triathlon 26th Aug

Hi All,

I dimly remember Jaffa and Meface and I talking about this on the Outlaw Monday piss-up.It was getting late (just before Schmunks offered the barmaid a space in her bed ) so my memory may not be clear.

Sprint and Oly options, on-road and XC if you're in to that durty stuff. Also a big swim option.

No it wasn't me,  I wasn't there and have retired for the year....................oh go on then it's a distinct possibility and it should be over fairly quickly

edit (that's obviously the tri I'm talking about rather than what might happen in Schmunks bed!)

You can camp and not just on the run!

Working on permissions.

I really fancied the two sprints. One in the morning one in the afterrnoon spot of lunch in the middle!

GB,  we'll discuss how you'll do it on Friday, either camping or more than welcome to stay at mine the night before as it's only about 25 mins away.

I am sure it was Jaffa who started a thread on this a few months ago??

Its looking like a damn fun day out - the only conceivable problem is that is clashes with the natioanl relays and august is a fecking expensive month  

Marathon on the Saturday but I may break my tri virginity on this one as it's only down the road from me.

there was another thread about this - or maybe buried into a different one - as i commented on it.

me and P are doing a local sprint in the morning and had the daft idea of driving up after for the afternoon XC tri but I don't think the timing's possible.

I was talking to the guy who's reffing this at the w/e - he says the site is fantastic, a real gem.  the lake is spring fed, clean and being 25m deep in the middle stays cool.  the guy who's putting it on wants to really build the event weekend up to make it a fantastic tri weekend - be interesting to see how it goes.   there is I believe the possibility still of some Saturday races - if so, I might be there to ref that day

If I do this instead of the club relay champs it saves me buying a club tri top  and every month is expensive in Tri-land.

You are not wrong there!!   Even more expensive when you forget that the cartax is due this month and not next month !

I shall keep this one on the back burner and see if summer arrives ... its my only weekend off in the silly season that is landing upon us

If you need a bed we can find you a floor We're not a gazillion miles away... but will be at the running club annual pub crawl disguised as a run that day.
