being a singleton saddo with far too much time on my hands , I was on my new turbo today vacantly staring out the window ( with boredom ) and couldn't help but notice the amount of couples out running together and it got me thinking ........how nice would it be to be with someone who has the same interests who you could share motivation , and conversation, with to get off your arse and out the door ?? How many of you have other halves who also do tri or running ?

Maybe you need an iron dog? They always want to go for a run, although mine, Rufus isn't really up to it anymore.

My better half doesn't do triathlon, but I think it makes it much easier if they do, but she is understanding as long as I try to ensure not too much disruption. We used to mountain bike together and that was great.

capt.jack....how do you know the couples out running are 'together' ..its quite hard to find suitable running partners in my opinion. darkness has a point, dogs can be really good training partners...they dont complain lol !

i cant find a run partner simply because  nobody wants to run that far....!!

but then you have to be carefully you don't get ironkids and then neither of you will be training.....
My OH took up running a year after me......we don't often run together .easier now as the kids are older....but my fast pace is his recovery pace....
