Have you tried the Quays at Mychett?

I've not swum there myself as i'm not a competent enough swimmer just yet but once i am i will be giving it a go there.

Mychett was thick with weed a couple of weeks ago. Much worse than Thorpe.

Not sure if my sighting has got a lot worse, but by constantly veering off to the left (towards the middle of the lake lol) I had a clearish swim at Thorpe today apart from a bit near the end of the loop. First swim I've enjoyed for aaaaaaaaages!

Had they cut any more of the weeds Ditchy?

Maybe I need to employ my own weed chopper to swim ahead of me and chop the weed in late season cos even that last bit of the Thorpe swim was a bit too much for my weak heart to cope with!

I did here from a tri mate that they were going to have OW swimming at Wierwood resorvior (cant spell that word tonight) and that they were going to have a 4km loop

Weirwood looks lovely on the website. Wrong side of the M25 for me though.

Tonka - I think East Grinstead tri have been using Weirwood this season for swimming but if you look at the water levels in there now, I doubt there is any swimming happening as they are so low. rode past there the other week.
