Wow IY sounds tough mate!

NR given conditions that's probably not bad!

My training was good if slow!! Open water swim 1.5 hrs and loads of back and forth no idea how much distance we covered, bike straight afterwards about 20km in 54 mins - pathetic, I really need to spend more time on bike that's just embarrassing ;-(

Really really want to (not so secretly) do quite well, but I suspect that might be a season away yet!

NR - it was fantastic thanks! It was my first big ride - never done much over 50 mile before and then mainly on the flat, so was pleased to cope with the step up in distance and feel l could have run afterwards (I didn't obviously - we had lunch and got pissed!) But fantastic views, rain could have been worse, almost cycled to the snow line - about 30m short!

Race was well organised (apart from the start - although  with heavy rain forecast late morning I think many with a late start time came early to avoid bad weather). But def do it again!

Cycling in the snow in the middle of May.  I love Scotland.  Well done you.

Run done.  Just a wee one today. Was going to be 3 miles, but once I was out there I decided to do a bit of the route twice and make it 4 miles.

Tri suit no. 2 has arrived...................................and is a perfect fit

I, on the other hand, am a perfect twit. Obviously didn't read the product info properly, because it has no padding. None.  Not even a waffer theen nod in the direction of a pad. Doesn't even bear thinking about .

Have just ordered another one. Third time lucky.

Scores on the doors (following epic sat and sun)

Monday - AM swim 2520m in 59'18 PM run 5.61 miles in 49'12" (shoes filled with water, bob could have made a reappearance - running wellies sound ideal)
Tuesday - AM brick cycle 6.16 miles in 32'51" run 1.86 miles in 17'12"

Have 2nd interview today so shortly going "dark" speak later...

Good luck with the interview.

You've been a busy boy. Good effort

Good luck with the interview GT.

Back from the pool. No drills today, just a very steady swim up and down. Did a mile in 45 mins.

17/05/2012 at 13:53

Scott Plasma Fastsuit.

With pad.

Perfect

And at £23, even perfecter

Am going to swim in it tomorrow and see how it feels.

Off out for a jog with the dog.

So Fink # 1, very slow but really focused on technique and drills, main set was 12 x 100m and this element was complete in 27'01... Spinning later

Am very very tired

Where are pics of perfect tri suit?
17/05/2012 at 16:23

Patience, Grasshopper

Good work in the water.  I am having to learn not to pay attention to work rate and focus on technique.  It's hard when I'm so used to the "x lengths in x minutes" mindset
