there is a vote for triathlete of the year on beyond going long.........if you have raced an ironman distance this year you must have raced with TC and his denim shorts.............an incredible guy who just races ironman week after week and won the deca this year 

and ordinary guy with an extraordinary ability to keep going

I gave him a PSOF badge in The Bridge pub the day before Outlaw.

barlos is a ledgend but hes not on the shortlist.looks like 4 top class athletes and TC........I think what TC does as an ordinary working guy is amazing.....2011 he did every long distance event inthe uk and the quin...........this year he won the deca as well as doing numerous others..............after the deca he did outlaw 3 weeks later............as well as fitting in one other in between.i think it was the forestman........

the guy isn't the youngest guy out there competeing but he still keeps going somehow..........

I don't think Barlos is on the list of options, Dustboy.

I have nothing but complete respect for this guy... shortly before my day was called to an end at the outlaw I was lying down trying not to fall asleep at the far end of the run course by the football club - TC was the one who stopped to make sure I was OK, gave me two of his remaining few Nuun tabs and said a few very encouraging words.whilst slowing his run pace to match mine for a few minutes before I dropped back again

One of the legends of amateur sport in my view!!

TC is as mad as a box of frogs, but a nice guy to go with it.

he produced one of my all time favourite tri moment at Challenge Henley in 2011 (1st year).  for some reason he missed the race start so rocks up a few mins after the swim had set off wondering what the feck was happening. he was told to get going, and dived into the Thames and promptly started swimming in the wrong direction!  a canoeist had to go and tell him he needed to turn around.  it wasn't his best IM swim time....

Rather fancy volunteering to marshall the outlaw now. Sounds like an amazing event, ill no doubt compete in it one year but i'm definitely not gonna be ready by 2013.

TC is one of the nicest guys on the circuit. He not only races, but insists on helping on take down the next day. A true gent and star.
