It's not my place to comment, as I wasn't there, but you can read race reports on one of their runs here:

It's a shame that forum posts like these have negative impacts on race organisers .. I did the Stanwick Ultra today organised by these guys - it was an excellent race over a very interesing & pretty course - sadly there was a very low turnout

But a medal and decent t-shirt, a good course, decent/friendly marshalls, drinks & food at checkpoints and the finish - all for £30..... better value than a lot of races I've done!!

N...........the forums are here to give personal views............If someone has a bad experience then other who read then but have had a good one can put their views so that you get a balanced view................race organisers can also come on a give their own side of the debate.............

the forums are open to all...........

glad you had a great race and enjoyed it

just went and read the reviews on the race referred to...hadn't noticed before..............to be honest I think the attitude of teh race organisers was terrible..................it wasn't just one or 2 people with a gripe................30 reviews on the site and they were in general very negative................

so the organisers don't state that they will look to improve on anything................they just have a go at everyone for not thinking it was any good................

not the correct attitude for any organisers....even if you think you are in the right................you can't just dismiss 30 views that you got it wrong..............

not suprised that  they got a bad turnout................which if they did a good race as you state is a shame..........but as organisers you can not afford to dismiss the views of your customers

Agreed ...organisers defo need to consider the views of those taking part .... and diplomacy is probably the best approach I suppose even if they think the gripes are unreasonable....

I've done hundreds of races and must admit organisers don't always get it right, but I don't see these guys as being a great deal different than many others.... I just wanted to balance the comments a little bit with some positive feedback.... it seems that all the comments on the other thread were on one race... not the best way to judge an organisation??

Wow!  we are organisng a race in Rosedale North Yorkshire, http://www.yorkshireultra.co.uk it will be the first time it has been run and we want to get it right.

We are raising money for the Royal Marines Charitable trust fund so want to try to make it an annual event.

We are all runners but any advice on making it a great event would be appreciated
