Didn`t quite make the two hours per lap - Was aound 2.10, 2.15 then 2.35. Was tough for the 1st Ultra (& 1st marathon) - ran alone for laps two & three. Good to see the sun coming up. Good one.

Anyone know if the results are posted?

I had a bimble around a couple of laps to support a mate... I was the one in the luminous green jacket and skins running, mostly, the wrong direction.  Yes.  I have no taste.

btw - I had not really appreciated what a brute of a course it is.  Well done to all.

henk had them up quite quickly last year

just 2 laps for me, my shin was playing up so bailed from the 50. love the course though, loads of fun

Thanks Lee - I enjoyed it.

I was the guy at the entrance gate earlier in the morning. During my run I changed into my Purple Cove Joggers top, Red spotted Salomon`s Exo`s & yellow Harriers waves - glad it was dark!

Would think I`ll be back.

Well done everyone - found it quite unbelievable.

What an event! I loved it from start to finish (easier to say now the legs are on the mend). There were all the usual lows of a long ultra: the stubbed toes overnight, the slippery gullies in the rain, the fight against the headwind "across the top"; but with it came the highs: some amazing running over a "sprung" woodland floor, a motivating course that egged you to keep running "just to this next bit", the amazing marshals and participants - full of encouragement and respect all the way.

With a mix of 50, 100 and Midnight 30 entrants, you never really know who was doing what, so it was always nice to swap a few words as your pace overlaps for a stride or two. I was lucky enough to say hi to a good bunch of people, all of whom were encouraging when I was taking my time, and no less so when I was feeling fresh and going for it.

A great event with a fabulous personality. I hope its notoriety continues to grow, and it manages to keep its quirky friendliness as it does so.

OK I know it's a 'bit' early to be thinking about it but I'm on holiday and thinking about stuff.

Has anyone entered and ran in the '30' and carried on for two more laps? Unsure if I'll cope entering head first in the 50

I did the 30 miles 2 years ago and may of managed 2 more but it would not of been pretty. not done that meuch training into it though, given a noon start and more training might of been doable, if you enter the 50 and only manage the 30 not a bad run either ways and Henk will only mention it a few times of the coming years.

Lovely course,  mmmm might think about entering myself ago next year.

Nothing to say, just bumping the spam

Anyone registered for this?

Apparently there's a 125mile option this year!

Havent yet but will be, have been there every year since it started.

Think you will have to do 100 miles in about 24hrs to be able to carry on to 125 and then have to finish under 30hrs.

I'm in - being verbally abused by Henk is one of my favourite things

I'm in, its full !! only just got entry off in time.

I am going to have a go at the 50.
It will be my first ultra, I don't know whether to be excited or terrified.

Can anyone tell me when and where to register?

google caesars camp

Yeah, tried that first.
Found the sites for the 2009 and 2010 events.
Couldn't see any registration info on either of them. Am I thick, or is it not there?
Thought I would see if someone here could help before I emailed Henk. I've heard that it is not a good idea to upset him

he is not that bad - especially if you are going to give him money

10/09/2010 at 12:50

just checked - entries closed at the end of last month

We are open for entries until the 30th of August 2010 unless we reach the limit before. Entry limit is 110 runners across all distances with no weighting on any distance.
No entry forms needed. T & C will at registration HQ against which you sign. This means that you will not receive any post from me, just find your name on the online list.

probably worth emailing him to see if he still has places

Thanks for the heads up.

I got my entry in before the race filled up, have checked the web site and I am on the list.

I just thought that with less than a month to go I had better find out where the registration HQ is, and spend some time with Mr Googlemap so that I know how to get to it.

I will send Henk an email.
