I have a big toe nail only just hanging on at the moment so will be ripping it off at the weekend to give enough time to heal before race day

I was about to say to leave it there so that you can have a snack during the race, but then I remembered your username

Looks like I'm out.  having wider excision on forearm next week, whih will require skin graft from the leg.  unfort low-fat% is not good when it comes to local excisions lol

Pity, I was really looking forward to this race, and going hard.  Good luck to everyone going down, I hope the weather is favorable.

That sucks Daz. Was looking forward to the gentle run around the course Most importantly though, hope it goes well and you are back in business soon.

Some good news at last.  Had a meeting with the surgeon today.  He said there was an error and that a skin graft not required.  Still told not to run for 2 weeks after the excision (11th).  But if it heels well and stitched come out before Caesars (possible) then I may turn up for a few laps and see what happens

Look for the guy running with one arm motion and that'll prob be me lol

Great news Daz, Dave Drury mentioned to me last night as we were run/"swimming" back from the City that you might be there after all.

Anyway, 20 miles Monday, hill reps Tuesday, 20 miles Thursday and 30 miles yesterday mean that training is done and dusted and so its taper time for me now

Hope everyone now manages to stay fit and helthy and tht it's not as wet as it was yesterday!

Veggieboy - yesterday afternoon it was very wet over there, both on the higher & lower parts of the course. In some place the track were totally submerged in puddles & mud. Even the cows didn't look too happy.

Also a new fence & stile has gone up just before the clearing to the 5M checkpoint.

Must practice my fence vaulting technique...

Good news Daz

Not much running this week as had a couple of niggles from Ladybower, but will probably stick some miles in this coming week.....

Maybe he's too busy praying for thunder and hail storms
