New trail race
I think you were going too fast for me to see you. Amazing run and you got it mostly done in daylight and all in the dry.
Hello Matt, I wondered who those carrots were for I ate & drunk very little really - 330ml flat coke, 3 cups of orange, 2 gels, 1 Muller Rice, 3 coffees, a couple of sweets & a jelly. veggieboy - Thanks for tip of - I`ll click private on the Garmin settings later. (Sorry Henk)
I ate 30 shot bloks and drank about 2 litres of water with elete electrolyte in. Oh and a coke at the midway checkpoint on the last lap I think.
It started raining shortly after I finished Matt. The course was already bad for the last 2 - 3 laps out the back of the course but the rain must have made it even worse.
WIB - your work rate was a lot higher than mine esp when you flew past me. I need to try out those shot blocks.
Mark - as long as he wants...brave or silly person to ask him directly.
Mr K - I think they are good. I can stomach them a lot better than gels. Well, the gels I have tried anyway. The only problem is you have to take about 3 of them to make the equivelent of a gel so I was taking about 6 a lap.
No idea on the results Jay and can't remember from last year. I have just checked and nothing on the site yet...
No results up, but provisional date for next year 19/20 Oct
Entries open 1 March 2013
Might go back to the 100 next year. i could get around that. I couldnt get around the 50
I was thinking of the 100 Daz... I know I can run a faster 50 so not sure which to go for.
If I was you I'd do the 50, get that time down even more to put off anyone else having a go. I havn't decided what distance yet.
50 is most likely as it would be much easier to fit in than a 100, plus I am not sure I fancy 10 laps! Either way, hopefully see a few of you there again.
Ladies, I hope to have the results up before the end of November. Work pressures are currently taking much of my spare time.
Please be patient, it will happen, it's not an easy job.
No worries Henk
The way I look at it CC is one of those races that you either finished or you didn't finish. Time/position is pretty irrelevant
Nice one Henk. Cheers.
When I finished the 50 I was covered head to toe in mud. Yet I noticed some of you 100 milers were not. What shoes were you wearing in those conditions? Some of those gullies were so slippy I could hardly stand in them.
cheers, i will take a look at those.
