Hi, does anyone have a race for the 60km longest training run for Comrades this year? I'm based in London but don't mind if I have to travel?

How about putting yourself in for Connemara? It's 1st Apr and 63 km.

Connenmara is closed! that was my plan too!! Compton 40 (64km) is still open - a few of us did it last year - on April 7th in Berkshire - mainly off road so could be a nightmare after rain, but last year was lovely and sunny!

My OH just went out and ran 40 miles.

I plotted a route for him, and cycled round with him with his drinks and snacks.

Some of our friends joined in for part of the run, other came on bikes.  We made an outing of it

I've decided to plot my own too. Can't find one to fit due to work schedule and when I want it. So will do a 60km in last week of April.

If you want to travel there's the Lidingö ultra 50 km just on the outskirts of Stockholm towards the end of April. You could run a bit extra.

i'm stupidly signed up for Manc marathon April 29th - suddenly 42km is too short!

Yeah, me too, only I have a Connemara ticket too

i'm so bloody disorganised - wish i'd got into Connemara...will decide nearer the time IF i do compton based on the weather! Otherwise i have a nice 32mile hilly route in Scotland I could do...though again, 32 miles is TOO SHORT!!!
