Yes RFB, sorry for not posting earlier, I was pc-less. Yes, Irene says that I can start an hour earlier (Hipps, that's cos I told her I'd aim for 11 hours, I can't see why earlier than that would be any prob)I'll email you her email. I've asked her to send me the route info etc

I agree with everyone - A 10 hour cutoff is certainly pushing it. I might have a go at it if we managed to get a 12 hour cutoff.

Haven't obtained OS map for this yet - Mrs Mac or any locals - how much of it is on tarmac do you think? Not sure if little legs will stand 50 miles on the road...

I'm not exactly local but from the little map I was sent it looks like its all on roads. I wondered about the damage I could inflict on myself doing 50 mile on tarmac!

That's what I wondered...all a bit pie-in-the-sky at the moment as my Achilles is playing up anyway - 50 miles on the roads would kill it! I wish that one near Aldershot in October was not going to involve night running!
